The William Johnson House, the historic 1840's home of a free black barber and diarist, had been under restoration for over ten years. It is now fully restored to its historic appearance complete with furnished rooms and interactive exhibits, including this scale interactive model by Exhibitology. This tactile model incorporates audio, visual and touch technology for the visually and hearing impaired, including closed captioning. A simple touch to any surface initiates and audio and visual narrative about the home, the people who lived in it and its history.
